June - August - 6:30 – 10:00 pm - Summer Jams Concert Series - The summer jam concert series is back! The Island Recreation Association holds the summer-long event on Tuesday evening at the Shelter Cove Community Park. Each week local favorite Music Madness will perform, with the highlight of the night being the fireworks displayed over Shelter Cove. Concessions will be sold. Where: Shelter Cove Community Park
August 29 - 31, 2008- Annual Hilton Head Island Celebrity Golf Tournament - Visitors are welcomed to come out and get autographs at this celebrity filled fund raiser that benefits various childrens charities. No admission charge. The weekend sporting event matches amateurs and celebrities from the world of sports, TV, film music and comedy. August 25, 2007 -HawkFest- 3rd Annual HawkFest at Honey Horn, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. A Back to School kickoff celebration and fundraiser with a 5K Run and Walk, live music, food, silent auction, kid‘s activities, Apple Pie Bake-Off, Watermelon Eating Contest and more.
